I call this mere the 'Dead-pool' of Delamere Forest due the many dying trunks rising vertically from its waters. A light mist was evident, filtering the special light often evident in the transition between autumn and winter. Despite having photographed here many times previously, the frost coating surrounding trees that morning created a neutral palette, offering me both a new perspective and the perfect complement for the shimmering light gleaming from the waters frozen surface.
Location: Delamere Forest, Cheshire
