Cwm Bochlwyd image is lead viewpoint for April's Outdoor Photography Magazine
Llyn Bochlwyd & Cwm Bochlwyd backed by Glyder Fach, Eryri or Snowdonia National Park, North Wales
This dark and moody image of Llyn Bochlwyd and Cwm Bochlwyd backed by the looming bulk of Glyder Fach in the Glyderau mountains of Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, was chosen as the lead viewpoint in Outdoor Photography magazine's April 2024 edition (issue 305). Shot from a neighbouring mountain with a moderate telephoto lens, I waited for two hours for the right combination of transient light and dramatic cloud formations to come together. Very strong winds and frequent rain showers created challenging conditions as I stood on the mountainside that day, leading to one of the most exhilarating photographic experiences I have experienced over many years photographing Eryri.
