Alan has been a contributor to Cheshire Life magazine for almost twenty years. His latest image to grace the front cover features the remains of thirteenth century Beeston Castle, one of Cheshire’s most iconic and impressive landmarks. The castle sits atop an isolated four-hundred foot sandstone knoll at the northern end of the Peckforton Hills. This image was captured after a prolonged and particularly cold period of sub-zero temperatures, which allowed hoar-frost to build up and coat the surrounding trees and landscape.
