I love early morning excursions out on the hills as they often produce something special. These conditions greeted me one early November morning in the hills above Macclesfield Forest on the edge of the Peak District National Park. I watched and waited as early mist and fog began to lift, revealing the distant hill of Tegg's Nose. It looked to all intents and purpose like a scene from the dawn of time.
