A scene reminiscent of Tolkien's 'Middle Earth' in so many respects. These wonderfully atmospheric and ethereal conditions greeted me as the first rays of morning light illuminated the flanks of Castle Crag across Derwentwater in the Lake District. I was in place well before dawn with a promise from the weatherman of mist and fog. His promised was fulfilled and I watched in absolute awe that morning as Castle Crag gradually revealed herself to me cloaked in the full beauty of autumn splendour.
