Stob Dearg, 'The Great Herdsman of Etive' and also known as Buachaille Etive Mòr stands guard over the entrance to Glencoe on the approach from Rannoch Moor. Popular with photographers, it must surely be the most photographed mountain in the UK and for very good reason. Freezing conditions and a heavy snowfall provided me with perfect winter conditions for this dawn image.
Location: Rannoch Moor, Scottish Highlands, Scotland
