A 4am start saw me climbing high above Nant Gwynant in time to capture first light illuminating the shapely peak of Yr Aran. This is an image I had dreamed about making for years, but despite several failed attempts, the image had always eluded me. This morning was to be different. A cold night and light winds following heavy rain offered optimum conditions for the cloud inversion I was looking to capture.
Location: Nant Gwynant, Snowdonia (Eryri), North Wales
