This beautiful and tranquil location is Torrisdale Bay, just one of the stunning beaches that pepper the northern coast of Scotland. I arrived late afternoon and searched the shoreline for an anchor point for my image. I was delighted to find this large, vibrant coloured red pebble half buried in a mound of sand. Getting down low and filling the frame with it has accentuated its size and a long exposure has smoothed out the incoming tide.
